On Parade With NASCAR
Everybody loves a parade—and motor racing fans really love a truck hauler parade. This morning the Las Vegas Motor Speedway hosted its second annual truck hauler parade as the kickoff for NASCAR Weekend. We watched from Maverick Helicopters’ offices, which is located on Las Vegas Boulevard. Out in front of the pack was the red Budweiser truck carrying No. 9 Kasey Kahne’s Dodge. Among our favorite haulers were the Dewalt truck carrying No. 17 Matt Kenseth’s Ford and the 3M truck carrying No. 16 Greg Biffle’s Ford. Of course, the colorful M&M’s truck carrying No. 18 Kyle Busch’s Toyota was a crowd pleaser because he’s a hometown hero in Las Vegas. The fans were going crazy cheering, waving and snapping photos of all the trucks, while the drivers drifted by honking loudly. It was definitely a high-octane good time.
