Manhattan Express Rollercoaster at New York/New York Hotel

Of all the Las Vegas attractions this one will get you moving the fastest. Located in the New York/New York Las Vegas resort this Roller coaster will take you to heights of 203 feet, drops of 144 feet and speeds up to 67 MPH, It features the world's first "heartline" twist and dive maneuver, allowing riders to experience the thrilling force of negative g's! I nearly lost my lunch on this one but it was well worth it. The ultimate Las Vegas attraction.

Adventuredome at Circus Circus Hotel

The perfect Las Vegas attraction for the kids. In the summer this is a an air-conditioned theme park that you will think was delivered from heaven. Incredible thrill rides and a joy for the kids. It's free to walk around, but you will have to pay to get wet on Rim Runner or get sick on Chaos.

X scream and the Stratosphere Tower Rides

The stratosphere gives you three opportunities to thrill yourself into an alcohol induced coma. Try Big Shot, Insanity and/or Xscream and soon you'll realize that thrills are what Las Vegas should be famous for.

Speed the Ride at the Sahara

This thing is quick and makes you realize that the Las Vegas strip is right next to your ear as you go screaming by. Go forward, go backward and then get inside and have a drink!

. Fly Away Indoor SkydivingYou know you want to do it but the idea of plummeting to your painful death from 12,000 feet has stopped you. Go indoors and sky dive in Las Vegas without the sky and with very lttle diving.

Mountain Biking Las VegasSingle Tracks and nasty descents are what real Las vegas thrill are all about and you can partake in some great riding that will get your adrenaline pumping all around the Las Vegas valley.

The Las Vegas Strip At Night: Tripping The Lights Fantastic!

Travel Gal's Love For The Las Vegas Strip...
What I love most about Las Vegas are the lights. My favorite moment of driving home at night from a weekend trip to California or Utah is when a warm glow, almost like a halo, begins to break out on the black horizon—and it grows and grows and grows until it becomes a bona fide light extravaganza. I also like landing at night at McCarran International Airport for the same reason. There’s just something magical about the way the lights of Las Vegas take shape in the desolate desert and soon become overpowering. It truly stirs the soul.

That Dam - Hoover Dam

Travel Gal Takes to the Hoover Dam...

I know a visit to a dam might not be the first thing on your mind when you come to an exciting, glamorous city like Las Vegas. But it should be. Hoover Dam is the most famous dam in the world. Located just 30 miles from Las Vegas, it was built in 1935 and still remains one of the greatest public works projects ever created. Now usually I’m not all that interested in civil engineering and I’ve never had a mind for science. The Valley of Fire: Truly Amazing!

Maverick's Travel Gal Hit the Road again...

The most beautiful drive I’ve ever taken was on State Route 169—or more specifically, the part of the highway that went through the Valley of Fire State Park. It was breathtaking! I’m telling you, as far as state parks go, this one is a must-see—especially if you’re visiting Las Vegas, where it’s situated only 55 miles away. That’s less than an hour by car, and even quicker by helicopter... more

The Grand Canyon A Larger-Than-Life Experience

Maverick's Travel Gal Hits the Grand Canyon...

I was born and raised in Las Vegas, which is located a mere 300 miles from the Grand Canyon. That’s a four-hour drive by car, and less than an hour flight by helicopter. Since the Grand Canyon was right here in my backyard, I never felt a pressing urge to visit—even though it’s one of the most written about and most photographed places on Earth. I just assumed I’d get around to it some day.
Well, some day finally came. more

Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour Review

I can not thank you enough for the unforgettable experience on Saturday. I have never been in a helicopter or seen the Grand Canyon before. Amazing doesn't even come close to describing it. It is one thing that I will never forget. The pictures I took will help me keep the memory for the rest of my life. Our pilot Mark was great. I was a little nervous when climbing into the helicopter but he was reassuring and explained everything. It helped relax me knowing that we were in good hands. He was also very knowledgeable about the history of everything that we saw. Seeing the Grand Canyon and the Las Vegas Strip from a helicopter was definitely the best view possible. I have told everyone I know about how amazing this was and showed them all the unbelievable pictures that I was able to take. Thank you very much.

Sincerely,Bryan Lewis

Find Grand Canyon Tour Specials and Discounts with Mustang Helicopters

Any ideas for things to do at the Grand Canyon if I go back for an extended trip after my air tour?

It’s sure to happen. You’ll fall in love with the Grand Canyon during your air tour with us and want to go back for more! And there are so many things to see and do that you can easily make a whole vacation out of visiting this awe-inspiring natural wonder.

At the West Rim of the Grand Canyon, you can stay overnight in a cabin at the Hualapai Ranch and enjoy the feel of cowboy hospitality, while learning about Native American culture. Horseback rides are offered, as well as Hummer off-road adventure tours. You can board a pontoon boat and enjoy a smooth ride on the Colorado River. There’s even a hop-on, hop-off shuttle bus that will transport you to the area’s most popular viewpoints and stops—such as Guano Point and Eagle Point, where the famed Skywalk is located. And, of course, don’t forget that you can always take another helicopter flight or a one-day whitewater rafting trip with us! For more information on planning your Grand Canyon West excursion, visit http://www.destinationgrandcanyon.com/.

At the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, you’ll have many choices for accommodations. “In-park” lodging, which is located within walking distance of the rim, includes the El Tovar Hotel, Bright Angel Lodge & Cabins, Kachina Lodge, Yavapai Lodge, Maswik Lodge and the Thunderbird Lodge. If you’re fit and dream of hiking to the canyon floor, you can make arrangements to camp there or stay in the legendary Phantom Ranch—just be aware that it’s hard to get reservations, and you’ll likely have to book as much as 13 months in advance. You’ll also find lodging in Grand Canyon Village, a small town with a population under 2,000 that dates back to 1901. There are many historic buildings and landmarks located in its boundaries. Otherwise, the nearby towns of Williams and Tusayan offer a wealth of hotels and motels that will fit any taste or budget.

The hardest part of visiting the South Rim will be narrowing down what you want to do. There are just so many interesting options! The inner canyon, which includes everything below the rim, offers endless opportunities for hiking and backpacking. Those who are more adventurous might want to ride a mule to the canyon floor, or take a rafting trip on the Colorado River, which can last anywhere from a few days to three weeks. A more easygoing option is journeying to the national park from Williams aboard the Grand Canyon Railway. The restored locomotive and passenger cars carry more than 230,000 people there each year. If you want to expand your mind, you might consider participating in a Grand Canyon Field Institute Learning Adventure. These are guided educational tours led by expert instructors. They cover topics such as geology, history, archaeology and photography and are often combined with activities that include backpacking, camping, hiking and whitewater rafting. You’ll also find a variety of interpretive ranger programs offered at the Canyon View Information Plaza, the Yavapai Observation Station, Verkamp’s Visitor Center, Phantom Ranch, the Indian Garden Campground and various trailheads and lodges. All of these are free of charge. Plus, if you desire another 25- or 45-minute helicopter tour, our Maverick Helicopters South Rim terminal is conveniently located at the Grand Canyon National Park Airport.
