Hello, I am writing to report a very disappointing and unacceptable experience during my Grand Canyon flight on December 5th, 2025, at 2:30 PM, on aircraft N824MH, booking #70095180. I chose Maverick for its reputation, and this tour was meant to be very special. From the moment I booked, I asked whether it would be possible to sit in the front during the Grand Canyon portion, and I was repeatedly informed — by phone, at check-in, and by the pilot — that seating depends on weight and is not guaranteed, but that rotations among passengers normally occur. I fully accepted this. On the outbound flight I sat in the back, expecting the possibility of being in front on the return. However, when departing the Grand Canyon, I was again seated in the back — and this is when the disrespectful behavior from the pilot began. When I politely asked if there was any alternative, he responded sharply: “Sit in the back, that’s it.” As he closed the door, he mocked me by asking, “Why are you making that angry face?”, and when I replied that he knew the reason, he raised his voice and said in Portuguese, in front of everyone: “I don’t want to die and nobody here wants to!”. During refueling he continued the sarcasm, asking if I wanted to sit in the front “just for the final stretch into Las Vegas.” I was moved to the front only for the last segment, when I was already extremely upset and when the Grand Canyon view was no longer part of the flight. The entire situation was witnessed by the friend traveling with me. To be clear, my complaint is not about not sitting in the front — I fully understand safety and weight constraints. The issue is the pilot’s unacceptable attitude, marked by sarcasm, disrespect, and public embarrassment, which completely ruined what should have been a memorable, premium experience. Given the seriousness of the situation, I request a formal investigation and compensation or a partial refund for an experience far below Maverick’s advertised standards. Thank you for your attention. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Hagner Affonso Ferreira
